Fourthline bolsters leadership team with new Head of Implementation
The Fourthline Team
Fourthline announced today the appointment of Martin Kers as Head of Implementation. This newly created role aims to drive the success of Fourthline’s customers by ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience. Martin brings a wealth of expertise to the company from a decade-long career in both the tech and financial services industries.
Customer satisfaction has been central to Fourthline’s strategy since day one and - as the company continues its rapid growth - it is vital to have the right structure and procedures in place to ensure that each customer continues to receive the best possible level of service.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Martin to the team. With his extensive experience in technical project management, he will ensure all our customers are onboarded in the best way possible while furthering our mission to fight financial crime,” said Krik Gunning, CEO of Fourthline.
Martin’s team will be responsible for guiding the customer through the entire onboarding process, from the initial technical discussions to the weeks after implementation, before handing over to Fourthline’s customer success team to ensure continuity of care.
Having earned a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Martin has impressive technical credentials. Prior to joining Fourthline, he spent seven years at ASML, the leading supplier to the semiconductor industry, most recently as Product Manager for the company's largest software portfolio. His previous roles at the firm include Senior Project Lead for the same software range, working closely with customers on product initiation, development and roll-out. This experience has helped him recognize the importance of viewing each project from the customer perspective and understanding their unique requirements from the outset:
Every customer faces its own unique set of challenges
“Every customer faces its own unique set of challenges and therefore priorities will differ when it comes to implementation. Working at ASML developed my skills in project management alongside product management – taking the two together has helped me think about what customers really need so I can identify customer requirements at the earliest stages and provide the best possible experience.”
Martin also boasts a solid financial background, as he began his career at Dutch investment company Egeria, analyzing private equity investments and working on various strategic projects within portfolio companies.
Fascinated by the fintech world and the interplay between human interaction and financial transactions, Martin was excited to join a fast-paced company experiencing rapid transformation. “I’ve been tracking the fintech space for some time - and have been keeping a close eye on Fourthline’s progress - so I’m delighted that this opportunity has arisen. I look forward to helping Fourthline realize its huge ambition and potential.”
