Europas Awards

The Europas is the premier awards for Europe’s hottest tech startups celebrating the most ambitious and innovative tech companies across 20 categories.

Fourthline (entering under its former company name, Safened) was part of the long list in the Hottest Regtech category, passing the initial round of public voting before being judged by an independent board of tech journalists and investors. The company was then shortlisted as a finalist, thanks to the judges who believed in our industry-leading KYC product and our mission to fight financial crime. The awards ceremony will take place in London, along with other top tech startups in Europe.

One of the challenges we face as a society is that 5 percent of the global economy is made up of money that has been unlawfully obtained. Fourthline’s mission is to make it as easy as possible for bona fide people to open a financial account, and as difficult as possible for fraudsters to open an account.

We are really leveraging technology to make sure that we can help banks fulfill their role as gatekeeper to the financial system. And therewith help society to prevent criminals and money launderers from getting access to the financial system -- Krik Gunning, CEO of Fourthline

The awards will be held in London on 27 June, 2019, on the front lawn of the Geffrye Museum in Hoxton — the heart of the city's tech startup scene.
